Hi,

Our lab has recently acquired DCA from Sigma (http://www.sigmaaldrich.com/catalog/search/ProductDetail/ALDRICH/347795) for research purposes. In an in vitro 96-well crystal violet assay, DCA had no effect up to 50mM on MDA-mb-231 breast adenicarcinoma cells. The concentration is very high with no effect. Is this the correct item? The next assay will be conducted on MCF-7 (estrogen receptor positive) breast adenocarcinoma cells and repeated on the MDA-mb-231's.

Thanks
Regards

I know this drug is not sold in the US.
Is there any way a person in the US can buy it.?If so, where
would we find it and how can we get it.
This is an extreme emergency, DCH Regional Medical Cancer
Center holds NO hope for this patient and has told her to
try a cancer center that uses experimental treatments.
Desperate case looking for desperate measures.

PLEASE ANSWER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, NO TIME LEFT.

God Bless You,
Gladys B. Freeman

<a href="http://www.blogger.com/profile/03493409834175634652" rel="nofollow">Moe</a> said...

People are taking it , some claim they are being helped. www.thedcasite.com

Dichloroacetate is very very acidic, so they take sodium dichloroacetate instead, in water.

It is occasionally used for lactic acidosis in babies with malaria. They try to keep their ph high, about 7.5 as I recall. Side effects can be numbness and tinglin of the extremities, confusion, loss of balance. A compounding pharmacist with a doctors note can make it. Its cheap, about $2 a day. It turns the mitochondria back on in cancer cells, something that oncologists thought was impossible. It shuts down glycolysis , which is cancers rocket fuel for growth.
